After a new movie catch-up to open the year (ep 24), we return to offer you our takes on summer’s hottest releases including: Evil Dead Burns, Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, Faces of Death, Forbidden Fruits, Carolina Caroline, Redux Redux, and Exit 8! We’ll touch on what we’ve missed and what else is on our radars in 2026 and beyond!

Legend has it that after a tense sundown seance playing subgenre roulette, the Boo Boys have decided to revisit our favorite folk horror films from around the globe! We’ll traverse time and space and God’s reach to offer you the finest international folk horror movies that transgress the village elders’ commands and get us in touch with our bloody, cursed roots.

The Boo Boys bring to the basement their takes on the double-feature of the year, Backrooms & Obsession (the movies, not the seedy stripclubs), plus four of their favorite underrated movies for your watchlist!

Showcasing some horror gems available on one of our absolute favorite streamers, SHUDDER! We watched Heresy, Good Boy, and Whistle, plus we’ll make other recommendations to round out your next spooky movie night!

From finding festive frights in the funhouse of Vincent Price and his velvety voiceovers, to delighting in the peak turn of the century indulgences that would spawn the subsequent decade’s most dastardly trends. In the year 2026(66), the Boo Boys were allowed to leave DOWNSTAIRS and venture into select theaters to give you a round-up of the hottest new horror movies including: 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, Undertone, Iron Lung, The Bride, Mother of Flies, and They Will Kill You! Join us as we go through what we loved and loathed this year so far!

Crack open the chianti and break out the fava beans because the basement boys cordially invite you to see, to hear, to consume our brains, er, thoughts on the film and television adaptations of the works of Thomas Harris, author of the Hannibal Lecter novels: four books, five movies, three wild seasons of TV, an almost unrivaled historic Oscar run, and a connoisseur of killing to humble all slashers before him (or at least offer them some sound psychiatric advice). So mind your manners, and watch and listen to our design.

This week the boys gather under one roof and decide to tear down the classic haunted house story, The Amityville Horror. Comparing, Contrasting, and Complaining about both the 1979 and 2005 releases. Settling into the basement, the boys dive deep into the real life inspiration of the book and films (for our true crime friends out there). So let’s deny the whispers around the house, grab a fly swatter, and head down to the basement to save a dog!
